For starters, my 18th birthday was amazing! We went to Maggianos for dinner. I just wish the Chicago Maidy's were there to celebrate it with me, but I absolutely adore the present they gave me!
Emily, Me, Sean
And then there was my trip to New York, which was AMAZING. I can't even begin to go into details because so much happened. But I guess a picture is worth a thousand words...and i took a bunch of pictures:
This was the view from our hotel window:
That was a picture in our room.
Rent, we were in the third row!
The Little Mermaid, which also was AMAZING. We sat all the way in the nosebleeds and still saw everything! I didn't get to take many pictures, but I snagged some before the show started:
And the rest was all a blur....
Long story short, it was one of the best trips of my life, and I hope to go again very very soon!

All I want for Chrismukkah
Aside from going to New York for my birthday and Chrismukkah, all I want for Chrismukkah looks a little something like this:
It comes out December 11th [Which is the last night of Chanukkah, btw.] and is going for $21.99 on Amazon.com. Just to let you know.

Newt's haircut
So if you checked my mum's blog, (Which first of all, I think it's funny in general that my MOM has a blog) you'll see that Newt looks...well...a little different.
Not gonna lie, I miss the furball that he used to be. It was like hugging a teddy bear.
But now...it's like hugging Mr. Bigglesworth.
And don't get me wrong...his tail is probably the cutest thign I've ever seen in my life, he'll stop shedding as much, and he won't spit up half as much as he used to...but I miss petting the cowardly lion before he actually LOOKED like one.
idk. whatev.

Day 12 on strike
This strike on Broadway is KILLING ME.
I check Broadwayworld.com everyday to keep up to date with the strike and honestly, I really just hope they come to an agreement and the strike ends before my birthday trip to NYC in late December.
Broadwayworld says that The Little Mermaid is postponing their opening night for December 6th. GAHHHH!
So use your shooting star, eyelash on the cheek, 11:11, and rainbow wishes to end this strike! Because wishing and waiting is the best we're gonna do.

homesick.
It's incredibly sad how incredibly homesick I am.
I miss being able to step outside of my house on 1181 Twisted Oak Lane and be able to just feel that fall has come. I miss feeling the chilly autumn breeze and playing in the leaves and looking out of my window to see my favorite tree across the street that turns a deep red colour in fall.
I miss having the only room in my house with the emergency exit window and being able to go out onto the roof and watch the stars, or just to sit out there whenever I needed to think. (Even though my parents either A) didn't know I would do that or B) hated that I did so.)
I miss living in Chicago so much, and I miss my brother, sisterinlaw, and nephew.
I'm just hoping that when I move back, if they move to a house by then, that they'd let me stay with them so I wouldn't have to pay room & board and Columbia. Because I think that's the main reason why my parents are so skeptical about me moving back and finishing my last two years there.
Chicago is my city and I'd be the first to tell you. Florida is just not the place for me. The people, the horrible drivers, the food, the hot weather...it's just not me. I would give an arm and a leg to move back there. and it's not even funny.

new blogs are fun: take two.
Well, I guess I'll give this another shot.
I mean, considering I've had a livejournal for over 3 years...it might be hard to share my thoughts in two different online journals (oh, the horror!) but hey, how else am I going to be able to keep up to date & comment on my brother, nephew, and soon to be niece/nephew [Rootin' for the niece!]'s life?
So greetings and saluations, blogspot!
